In honor of Memorial Day, the Idaho Veteran held some special memorials starting this morning at 7:30. The group started at the Veterans Memorial on the River, and then continued on to Fielding cemetery, Rose Hill, Ammon, and Lincoln cemetery where they performed the same ceremony at each location.
The Idaho Veterans are a group of about 25 members, who volunteer their time to show their respect for their country.War veteran and commander, Ron Walquist said,"The feeling of patriotism is growing. I just see it with so many people, not only with the adults but a lot with the kids and the children and they are always there and they want to spend some time and shake your hand. Its really gratifying. It feels very good." They said the turn out today was wonderful and better than the years in the past. If you want to volunteer or see how you can help year around.
