By Ted Dawson
REXBURG - Billy Butler is the first baseman and designated hitter for the Kansas City Royals. After hitting .301 this season, the former Idaho Falls Chukar was named the team's most valuable player.
Matt Lindstrom is a hard throwing relief pitcher who, after three years as a major leaguer, is expected to be the closer for the Houston Astros next season. Clayton Mortensen has just ended his first year in the majors. After being traded to Oakland, the Rexburg native has a record of two wins and four losses. Monday, all three were in Rexburg for a day-long baseball skills camp. |
