Salmon Savages
By Ted Dawson
That's what they believe hear in Salmon, because the Savages have the best team they've had since they went through the regular season undefeated eight years ago.
Ken Miner played here in Salmon. Six years ago, he caem back to coach, and finally this year, he's got the senior leadership that he's been grooming. And while the Savages have a great group of seniors, it's the junior combination of quarterback Riley Sessions to Trey Infanger, that's pushed them to a 4-1 record so far. You'd think that one of the problems for Salmon is their long bus rides. Up to four hours just to play a game. But that's not the case. In fatct, the isolation helps when teams have to bus up there. Salmon still has to get by Sugar Salem and Shelley before they can claim a league championship, but these guys believe. |
