Shooting Association Championship this Weekend

By Ted Dawson

Tim Eagan, the Idaho coordinator for the United States Practical Shooting Association, is practicing for this weekend's state championship this weekend at the range just west of Idaho Falls.

This sport is amazing. Shooters not only have to hit specified targets, but they're timed doing it, and the winner is decided by who gets the most hits in the shortest time.

The sport that started in the late 70's, now has more than 17 thousand active competitors from ten year old kids, to 80 year old retirees.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
