BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Idaho forward Michael Crowell has been named the Western Athletic Conference's player of the week for his performance in two Vandal road wins last week.

Crowell scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a victory at Hawaii, then scored 20 points and snatched eight rebounds in a victory at San Jose State.

It's the first time Crowell, a senior, has won the WAC's player of the week honor, and his performance helped lead the Vandals to their first two WAC road wins ever.

During the week, Crowell shot 56 percent from the floor and hit 50 percent of his 3-point attempts.
