Student Athlete of the Week
By Ted Dawson
It's raining cats and dogs in Pocatello, but Highland High school sophomore, Dallin Farnsworth is out in the weather running, that's because Farnsworth is a dedicated long distance runner.
Last Friday, in the annual Tiger Grizz Invitational, Farnsworth started along with a couple hundred other long distance runners, but 3.1 miles later, the defending state champion in the two mile was all alone totally dominating the field. In addition to his athletics, where he participates in cross country all fall, and track all spring, Farnsworth is an outstanding student with a 3.6 grade point average in college prep classes. Dallin Farnsworth, a dedicated athlete, and one of the best cross country runners in the country, who wants to eventually run for either Utah State or BYU, is a clear choice as our KIDK student athlete of the week. |
