One of the great stories in local sports this year, has been the worst to first re-birth of the Hillcrest Knighs. But, they couldn't win seven straight unless Nathan Astel starts things off. Nathan is the 5'11" 205 pound junior center, who anchors Hillcrest's line.

Of course, Nathan has extra incentive to play well. He's blocking for his older brother quarterback, Matt Astel.

In addition to his football ability, Nathan is also an outstanding student. 3.541 GPA.

Nathan Astel, who has his team in the state playoffs this weekend against Century, is a clear choice, as our KIDK Student Athlete of the Week.
