Gonzalez twins

POCATELLO - When Highland comes roaring down the court, it's usually freshman Dylan Gonzalez feeding her twin sister Dakota for a bucket.

It's a combination that has sparked Highland this season to only a single loss and that was to unbeaten Bonneville.

The Gonzalez twins are absolutely amazing. Remember now, they are only 15 year old freshmen, and they just turned 15 a week ago.

Dylan is averaging 15 points per game, Dakota is averaging 14, together they're awesome.

Dylan and Dakota ought to be good. Their mother was a star at the University of Kansas and later went on to play in Europe. Their biological father is Albert Lewis, a 15 year NFL veteran who was an all pro corner back for the Kansas City Chiefs. They moved here three years ago, when their step dad became a cardiologist at Portneuf Medical Center.

In addition to their athletics, the Gonzalez twins are straight A students, and they've got some big dreams.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
