West Jefferson Prepares for This Year's Football Season

Tools

By Ted Dawson

WEST JEFFERSON - It was last November 19th when West Jefferson Football Coach, Tobee Christiansen presented the school with their first EVER state football championship.

But now, it's a new year, and state championships don't come without lots and lots of hard work.

The Panthers surprised everyone last season with their run through the playoffs, but nobody will be surprised this year. Not only are the loaded with talent, but they now know what it takes to win.

West Jefferson opens on August 29th at Salmon. It is their first step on what they believe will be another state championship.

Idaho law allows state agencies to divert some state income tax refunds to pay legal obligations like court fees, child support, and sheriff's garnishments. Taxpayers whose refunds have been diverted have no legal recourse. What do you think of the law?

  • Times are tight. If the state needs the money, this approach is better than budget cuts, tax hikes, etc.
  • I'm entitled to the refund, and the state can just take it? Unfair and ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
