BLACKFOOT, SHELLEY - They're already hitting at Blackfoot.

That's because the defending 4A state champions who went undefeated last year, open early, clear up on Juneau, Alaska.

Coach Bucks has two returning starters on offense, and five on defense. plus he's built a winning attitude that has carried over from last year's championship team to this year's under class-men.

Mr. November, that's what the license reads on Shelley Coach, Dwight Richins' car. That's because, you can bet come November, Richins will have his russets in the playoffs, bu that doesn't come without a lot of hard work. It's six o'clock in the morning and Shelley is running drills that would wear down an Olympian. Even super star quarterback, Tanner Higham, who has already won state championships in three separate sports, is the first guy up in every drill. He is even willing to help out on defense this year.

Tanner's cousin, Mason Higham, has been moved from tight end to the offensive and defensive line, where his 6'4" 245 pound physicality makes him on of the most sought after athletes in the state.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
