Call for organ donors
REXBURG - Organ donor activists met today to plan a 5k run in Rexburg. In the state of Idaho between 300 and 400 people are on waiting lists for organs.

The group wants more people to sign up to become a donor.

Deedra Lambert, an event organizer, said "It's going to hopefully get people to think about it. When we survey people, most people do support the whole concept of organ and tissue donation. However, most have not taken the time to register. So we want to give them the opportunity to do that."

The event is tentatively scheduled for September 25th at Nature Park.

Eating healthier

Several local school districts have changed their cafeteria menus to healthier fare. What about you? Are you eating healthier than you used to?

  • Yes. I've made big changes in my diet. More fruits and veggies and less fried foods. I feel much better as a result.
  • Sort of. I made changes in my diet for awhile, but it never seemed to do much good. I've gone back to the way I used to eat.
  • I haven't made any changes, but I've always eaten a very healthy diet.
  • No. I eat what I want to eat and I don't worry about it.
