IDAHO FALLS - A new photography exhibit featuring 18 winners of an Idaho Falls Magazine Photo Contest is unveiled at EIRMC.

The hospital walls now feature the winners selected from a pool of more than 600 photographs submitted by 100 contestants for the March-April issue...

"When I look at this picture it makes me smile it's my little girl, I hope that anyone is in the hospital for whatever reason can come down here to the halls of the hospital and see the beauty of the world," says Joanie Anderson, grand prize winner.

EIRMC was chosen as the exhibit's permanent location to help patients with the healing process.

The photos will hang in the halls by the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Departments.

Chickens in IF

Should the Idaho Falls City Council approve the proposed ordinance to allow city homeowners to keep up to six laying hens in their back yard?

  • Yes. As long as the chickens are properly controlled I don't have a problem with it.
  • No. If people want to keep chickens in their back yards they should move to the country.
  • Not sure.
