CHUBBUCK - Police detectives are looking for a man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank Saturday morning.

It happened just before 11 a.m.

The man walked up to a teller, handed a note asking for money, and displayed a handgun.

He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash heading toward the Pine Ridge Mall. Lt. Jean Higgins, with the Chubbuck Police Department said, "I'm sure mentally it's very hard when you're presented with that type of a situation, but I think (the employees) handled it very well."

The suspect is between 50 and 60 years old, 5'10", weighing 185 to 200 lbs.

He was wearing jeans, a blue baseball hat, and a blue and white flannel shirt.

The investigation is on-going. Both the Pocatello Police and the FBI have been called in to help.

If you have any info call Chubbuck Police at 237-7172.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
