REXBURG - Ben Harris is sentenced today after reaching a plea agreement for the theft of lortab pills from the home of Ruth Clark, sister of the Madison County Sheriff.

During the investigation, the Sheriff's Office setup a camera and caught Harris on tape stealing the drugs from inside the home.

Harris is given upto 3 years of probation and the Judge told him he won't be able to serve in a law enforcement capacity again. Harris previously served as a probation officer in Madison County.

Judge Gregory W Moeller said Harris's lack of a prior record was part of his the reason he gave Harris no additional jail time.
