REXBURG - What could you do with pulley's, a car battery, and a car light?

Well, engineering students at BYU-Idaho put together some interesting contraptions.

One operates with infrared and audio sensors to scare people when they turn a corner.

Other students created products that would be a little more useful for the "day-to-day" user.

"First and foremost, it's a business. You're looking to sell a product. If you think you have a really good idea, it's more important to understand that your customer thinks you have a really good idea," said BYU-I student Nick Montgomery.

The crazy train, as the students call it, will end up at the Haunted Mill if you want to check it out next October.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
