REXBURG - Brad Egbert has just been appointed to the City Council.

It's been on the minds of Rexburg residents ever since the vacancy was created by the mayoral appointment of Richard Woodland, who was serving on the Council.

Many thought Chris West should have got the seat, since he was the runner up in the recent election.

But the City Council and Mayor had no obligation in who they chose to fill the seat.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
