REXBURG - A probation officer accused of stealing lortab pills from the Madison County Sheriff's Sister received a continuance today.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office has given the prosecutor a copy of the surveillance tape that caught Ben Harris in the act.

But prosecutor Penny North Shaul still needs to get a hold of the lortab pill bottle.

Harris's trial has been moved to January 13th at 9am.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
