POCATELLO - The Idaho State University Women's Club is helping holiday shoppers, and students at the same time.

More than 40 vendors were in the Pond Student Union Ballroom offering homemade items like scarves, jewelery, and other crafts.

The annual Holiday Fair is expected to raise enough money for three $3,000 scholarships. Natosha Holmes, Holiday Fair Vendor Chair said, "So that they don't have to either take out so many student loans, or don't have to work as much while they're trying to go to school or whatever. It makes their life as a student easier so that they can focus more on their studies."

If you missed the fair you can help with the Women's Club scholarships by donating money, or items they can sell at their booth in the future.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
