Former GOP committeeman sentenced to jail
BONNEVILLE CO - Blake Hall will report to the Bonneville County Jail Monday at 8 AM. Today in court, an ex-girlfriend turned stalking victim recalled more than six months of inappropriate behavior by Hall. The victim did not want her face shown.

"I'm gonna sentence you to six months in jail. But I'm gonna suspend all but 15 days of that," honorable Judge Harding.

Shocked sighs could be heard in the courtroom from family and friends of Blake Hall. The former GOP representative was sentenced to jail for misdemeanor charges of stalking. In about an hour, the judge heard from the victim and Hall on accusations of stalking and other misconduct.

Although the defense conveyed a sense of sorrow for the incidents, Hall is not admitting guilt to all the accusations.

"He threw his dirty used condoms on my driveway," says victim.

The defense blamed a relative of Hall for these accusations. The defense argued, Hall condoned the behavior when he heard the situation.

Although the media coverage surrounding Hall may be different because of his status in society, the judge promised his treatment in court was anything but.

"In 20 years, I've never heard anything like it," says Judge Harding.

The judge noted he has never seen anything to this extent.
On top of 15 days in jail and a suspended sentence of 6 months, Hall will also have one year supervised probation along with more than one thousand dollars in fines.
He will also have a one year no-contact-order with his victim.

Quran burning

A Florida pastor says he is likely to burn copies of the Quran on September 11th. Gen. David Petraeus says the action could endanger US troops. The pastor says he's just standing up to radical Islam. What do you think of the idea?

  • A stupid idea. His symbolic protest puts real soldiers in danger, and shows the world we practice the same intolerance we condemn in our enemy.
  • A great idea. We need to spend less time worrying about whether our enemies in this war might be offended. If this is how he chooses to express himself, I'm all for it.
  • Not sure.
