ROBERTS - Ttwo members were appointed for city council.

Robert Dennis Berlin Jr. with 44 votes and Pat O'Malley-George with 38 votes and Benjamin Poston missed that by only one vote with 37.

Idaho law allows state agencies to divert some state income tax refunds to pay legal obligations like court fees, child support, and sheriff's garnishments. Taxpayers whose refunds have been diverted have no legal recourse. What do you think of the law?

  • Times are tight. If the state needs the money, this approach is better than budget cuts, tax hikes, etc.
  • I'm entitled to the refund, and the state can just take it? Unfair and ridiculous.
