General Motors problems affecting local dealers

REXBURG - Problems at General Motors are going to have a drastic effect on two local dealers.

For instance Taylor Chevrolet in Rexburg currently sells Buick and Cadillac, both of which are GM products.

But as soon as they sell out of their inventory, they can't order any more.

Similarly at Erickson GMC, they've already run out of Pontiacs.

And while Pontiac is going out for good, Buick will eventually be transferred over to Erickson.

That change will completely alter the products that both dealers sell.

There is no official word on when the transfer will be made, but Dave Taylor tells Eyewitness News that they will have Buick and Cadillac for at least another year.
