POCATELLO - A 2-year-old Chubbuck girl battling a rare form of cancer is getting some help thanks to friends and neighbors.

On Thursday, September 24 an auction and ice cream social is being held at the Pocatello Red Lion.

Pebble Creek Ski Area, the Black Swan Inn, and Les Schwab are just a few of the businesses donating items that are up for bid.

All the money raised will help Tegan's family pay for constantly growing expenses. Jennifer Barlow, a family friend said, "The (family is) doing really, really well. They have a lot of faith, and they have a lot of support, and Tegan is just a happy little girl. She is always smiling, and she holds up really well."

A blog has been set-up with more information about the fundraiser and updates about Tegan's progress.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
