REXBURG - With the resignation of Mayor Shawn Larsen in Rexburg, there's been a bit of confusion as to what happens next.

Until the council appoints a new mayor, the city council president Chris Mann will be the acting mayor.

Whoever the council does appoint, will stay in office until a new one is elected in the 2011.

There are no stipulations as to who the council has to replace Mayor Larsen with.
