Planning for The 9-12 Project
POCATELLO - The Pocatello Tea Party held its final planning meeting Thursday night before Saturday's big 9-12 event.

The tea party will be at Optomist Park, right in front of the federal building from 11am to 2pm. The public is invited. There will be live music, booths, guest speakers and a patriot parade through town.

The tea party wants to downsize the role of the federal government and preserve individual liberty and Constitutional rights.

"This actually is an avenue for people to express themselves through the signs they make, or through the open mic, by getting up and saying a few words of what concerns them. So it's going to be a fun, family event," says organizer, Chris Stevens.

Wind Farms

The wind turbines lining the foothills east of Idaho Falls are getting a lot of attention. What do you think about the wind farms?

  • They're too close to residential areas and they're lowering property values. They're ruining the view. Build them somewhere else!
  • They provide clean energy, and they generate local jobs and tax revenue. They're the wave of the future. Welcome to town!
  • Not sure.
