Abandoned house catches fire in Bonneville County

IDAHO FALLS - Firefighters responded to 6287 Hitt Road, north of Hitt and Iona early Friday morning for a structure fire.

We've learned the building was an abandoned house.

The crews let it burn because they believe it has burned several times in the past.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the house, and no other structures were threatened.

Officials gave no value to the structure, since it had been involved in fires previously.

No word yet on what started the blaze.
