BOISE - The body of a young boy has been found in Boise, but police are not sure if it is eight-year-old Robert Manwill.

The body was found face down in the New York Canal near Deer Flat Road and South Cloverdale. We do know the body is that of a young boy, around Robert's age and they are approximately the same size.

"From a police investigation perspective, Robert's disappearance remains under active investigation. Detectives are working closely with the coroner's office," says Deputy Police Chief, Jim Kerns.

Robert's family has been notified. He has been missing since July 24.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
