Two boys shot while watching Idaho Falls parade

IDAHO FALLS - Just before 10 o'clock this morning, a 12 year old boy, and a 10 year old boy sustained minor injuries from a gun shot while watching the parade.

The boys were standing on the west side of Boulevard, in front of Hawthorne School at the time. It appears a single shot was fired from an area on the east side of Boulevard between 15th and 16th Street. At this time there are no suspects, and the motive is unknown. The 12 year old boy was transported to EIRMC, and treated for a gunshot to the foot. The second boy was treated at the scene and released.

The Idaho Falls Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public in this matter. Anyone with information regarding the shooting should call the Idaho Falls Police Department at 529-1200. Detectives are also requesting to view video recordings of anyone that was filming the parade between 14th and 17th street.
