IDAHO FALLS - As far as local sports fans are concerned, the best news about Tuesday night's opener for the Chukars, is the return of broadcaster, Jim Garshow.

The 72-year old veteran who has had more problems is back in the booth calling the action just two months after having his right leg removed.

Garshow who is starting his 39th year broadcasting local sports events, just got out of the hospital a month ago because he developed pneumonia while in the hospital.

He's lost a lot of weight, and he needs oxygen, but it wouldn't be baseball season without Jim Garshow and his partner of 26-years John Balgini by his side.

And the standing ovation Jim got from the three-thousand fans on hand at Tuesday night's game, just shows you how much this man is loved.
