CHUBBUCK - In recognition of Flag Day, several members of the American Legion were at the Pocatello Railroad Federal Credit Union in Chubbuck Monday morning for a flag raising.

The simple ceremony is meant to honor the men and women currently serving, those who have served, and especially those who have given their lives in the military. Clay Baden, Pocatello Railroad Federal Credit Union President and CEO said, "Those people are all very, very important and we just appreciate this opportunity to take this time to dedicate a flag raising in their honor."

This is the first flag raising for the credit union.

The old flag that was removed will be appropriately retired.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
