Wyoming high school teacher charged with sexual abuse of a minor

AFTON - The Star Valley High School choir teacher is facing multiple felonies for allegedly having sexual contact with a minor.

32-year-old Jamie Nicole Hale is charged with sexual abuse of a minor in the third degree, and sexual abuse of a minor in the fourth degree.

She is accused of having inappropriate contact with an unidentified 17-year-old victim in January and February.

Hale plead not guilty to the charges Tuesday, and is scheduled for trial on September 21st.

If convicted she could spend up to 20 years in prison.

It's not clear if the victim was a student.
