POCATELLO - Pediatric patients at Portneuf Medical Center had some special visitors Wednesday.

Several rodeo queens and bull fighters from the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo took pictures with and signed photos for everyone on the floor.

The guests help patients forget they're still in the hospital. Kelli Jackson, Miss Rodeo Mississippi said, "We hope that for them it's fun to see a cowgirl, with a hat and a crown and boots. And it's also a great way to promote the rodeo, so it's a lot of fun. And I hope that it's fun for both of us."

Stops were also made at other health facilities around Southeastern Idaho.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
