POCATELLO - The man accused abandoning a dozen dogs in Inkom will have to wait for his sentence.
As part of a deal with prosecutors Robert Ives pleaded to six counts of misdemeanor animal neglect.
Ives appeared for sentencing today without an attorney, but when Judge Gaylen Box mentioned jail time could be imposed along with the probation recommended by prosecutors Ives asked for a public defender.
Once an attorney is appointed the case will be set for a pre-trial conference.
