POCATELLO - The League of Women Voters is hosting a discussion forum with candiates from districts 29 and 30. The forum is open to the public.

"This is really an opportunity for the community to be an informed voter and we also want to encourage people to get out and vote. The League of Women Voters feels it is very important to know what your candidate stands for so when you make a decision you know what to base it on, said League of Women Voters Member Cathy Frischmann.

The forum will begin with a question and answer panel with candidates from District 30 from 7:30 - 8:10 p.m.

The second panel will consist of candidates from District 29 from 8:15 - 9:30 p.m.

The discussion will take place at Pocatello City Hall. It will also air on Public Access Channel 12 and viewers can call in and ask candidates questions as well.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
