Madison Masters Golf Tournament
By Veronica Cardenas
POCATELLO - Most every little girl's wish is to be a princess and six year old Madison Masters is no different.
"She loves Cinderella, Snow White, and Ariel princess and she will be able to have a private dinner with them so she will get to meet them said," Make-A-Wish volunteer Nancy Berry. Madison will soon be among royalty come November with the help of money raised from the Madison Masters Golf Tournament. "We have about 145 people out here today participating in a golf tournament, and on top of their green fees they also purchased raffles tickets," said Berry. And her family couldn't be more greatful. Local organizers have raised more than seven- thousand dollars to help fund her trip to Disneyworld. "I've been trying not to cry, it's been overwhelming, I think its really great what they can do for these kids," says Madison's mom Lori Mulberrry. Madison suffers from an Ataxia type illness that is life threatening. It also effects her muscular system making it hard for her to balance. "She's a little wobbly and doesn't have as much muscular strength," explained Mulberry. After a couple of surgeries this brave little princess has been through a lot but with the help of the community she will finally make it to her castle. |
