POCATELLO - Tuesday night the public weighed in on four different proposals that would make enrollment at all three high schools as evenly distributed as possible.

"To redistribute or to re-balance might be to look at growth and future growth so that the schools don't get increasing disproportionate from one another," explains Director of Business Operations, Barry Reed.

The growth of the Chubbuck area has caused Highland High School to overflow while the underdevelopment near Century High School has kept enrollment down.

"Century High School has been here for ten years and there hasn't been any development around here since it's been here."

The board hopes to keep all the high school programs comparable by making some changes.

"It has been ten years since the boundaries have changed, since Century High School was built in 1997."

The board will hear what the public has to say about the proposals and make a decision on a proposed boundary or decide not to change the boundaries at all.
