Crash in Fremont County Kills 4-Year-Old Girl

FREMONT COUNTY - A two-car accident in Island Park kills a little girl from Germany.

The accident happened on Highway 20 near the Pine Haven area.

During a heavy thunderstorm, Gerald Renner of Germany lost control of his vehicle and collided with a car driven by Jason Miskin of Filer.

Miskin's car hit the rear portion of the trunk of Renner's vehicle, causing the spare tire to be pushed into the back seat where the 4-year-old was sitting.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people were taken to the hospital.

Everyone was wearing seatbelts and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
