DRIGGS- It was a busy morning in Driggs today. Runners were participating in several events all to raise money for local non profit organizations.

Barb Lindquist: "I'm so excited that this is the first year that the tin cup challenge is here. It's just going to grow and grow and bring the community together."

Organizers hope to raise one million dollars in the Tin Cup challenge

Cathy O'Connor, (Tin Cup Organizer): "The community foundation raised over 300,000 in matching funds and based on what the non-profits were able to raise last year in Old bills fun run, our goal is a million dollars total.

Here's how it works:

The Community Foundation solicits contributions from donors to fund a match pool.

Cathy O'Connor: "This part of it is really fun for the community to come out and learn."

The tin cup challenge featured a half marathon, a 10k and a fun run. But that wasn't all that was going on today. There were hula hoop challenges, a dunk take even a diaper derby. It was fun times for the whole family.

Local non profits were there to show case their organizations.

Amy Verbeten, (Non-Profit Volunteer): "Our main focus is to continue to build community support for our organization as well as all the other wonderful organization here in our valley."

This fundraiser was organized so that non profits could have a chance to host a big event so they didn't have to go out and create individual one's.
