Search and rescue teams have now spent three full days looking for the body of Kord Peterson. Searchers are still hopeful they'll find the body of Kord Peterson, but it's a slow process.

And while divers and boats were out on the Snake River, his friends held a car wash to raise money for his family. Mason Lewis, one of Kord's friends said, "The kid was a good part of the community. It'll be really thankful if they could stop by, donate at least a dollar or whatever they have. Get their car washed. We'd just really like to help."

Yesterday sonar tests indicated that kord's body might be in a shallow area of the river, good news for diver's battling low visibility. Jim Jeffries, Power County Sheriff said, "Divers can see four to five feet down to around 50 feet. Then it gets pretty dark."

Besides the low visibility rescuers have also had to work around unpredictable river conditions. "Depending on the water flow and the safety of that [determines when we can search]. Now I can't really gauge that until we get in the water," said Jeffries. But even after searching the shallow areas rescuers still haven't found anything.

Back in Pocatello Kord's friends say they can't wait for his body to be found so they can say goodbye one last time. "Its been really rough on most of us. I lived with him for a long time and we've all been really good friends with him for a really long time. Its just been really hard," said Lewis.

Search and rescue teams will continue to look for kord's body in the coming days, and hope it won't be too much longer before finding him. Jeffries said, "Step-by-step, [its a] slow and tedious process. The river's a difficult place to search."

Rescuers are planning to resume their efforts tomorrow morning, and Kord's friends will be washing cars at the Auto Zone in Pocatello until dark today.
