EXCLUSIVE: Home Invasion Victims Invite Eyewitness News Into Their Home
By Rick Montañez
Brian Olsen, the man who was tied up in an armed home invasion robbery this morning spoke to Eyewitness News Reporter Rick Montañez in an exclusive live interview today. And tonight, he invites Rick into his home to speak about the ordeal.
Brian and his wife are understandably upset, and their 5 kids are as well, they were hearing different stories of what happened while they were at school. Earlier Olsen and his wife didn't want to talk to the media, but when I was out in front of the house getting ready to go live for 6 O'clock, I saw Olsen outside and we started talking, that's when he told he wants to offer up 10 thousand dollars out of his own pocket, to catch the two armed men. "I'll offer a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of these people, they're dangerous and need to be caught. I don't want to see anybody else go through this," says Brian Olsen, the victim of a home invasion robbery. Brian Olsen describes for me what it was like when the two armed me stormed into his home and tied up him and his wife. "As I went toward the garage she came back in with 2 men," says Olsen. Olsen says the two men, one armed with a knife and the other with a gun, demanded jewelery, money and stole 3 handguns with ammunition. "They threatened to slit her throat if I didn't tell them where more stuff was." Olsen says he was left alone for about 20 seconds, that's when he made his move and ran to a neighbors screaming for help. Olsen then saw the men leave his home in his SUV...Police later found that SUV in Shelley, so they shut down the neighborhood and went door to door searching for the armed men. Its understandable neighbors in the area are upset and scared. Police are still on the lookout for those two men, who are armed and dangerous. The men are described as dark skinned white males, about 5'11" 200lbs. If you have any information you are asked to call 911. We will stay on this story and bring you details as they become available. |
