By Jennifer McGraw

It was around 3 thirty this morning when neighbors woke up the the sound of gunfire.
They said they heard several shots, but were stunned to find out it was coming from their next door neighbor.
After firing multiple rounds he went into their house and pointed his gun in all directions.
Charles Murphy, (neighbor): "He said somebody shot his friend. He was looking for him and said somebody is about to get shot. That's when I grabbed the phone and called the police"
The shooter, Leon Lambombard, was arrested this morning and was charged today on Malicious injury to property and two misdemeanors on discharge of a weapon within city limits and unlawful entry.
Neighbors say he shot at the floor of his apartment and at the windows and they have no idea why.
Bonnie Murphy, (neighbor): "My body is still shaking over it, it reality sets in after a while of what could've happened."
He recently moved into this apartment building on Curtis and the Murphy's say he was a quiet man, but kind and never threatening until now.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what provoked Lambombard, but neighbors say that it was clear he was not in the right state of mind.
