A 24-year old man is dead after a Blackfoot police officer shot and killed him Monday afternoon.

Police say they pulled the man over around 12:22 pm. They had dealt with him before and knew he was driving without a driver's license.

After they pulled him over, the man ran away and led officers on a brief foot chase. The man was carrying a gun and made threats to officers, so they shot him.
