Burglaries Continue in Bonneville County

Three more businesses can be added to the growing list of nearly a dozen in the string of burglaries in Bonneville County. The same scenarios have sheriff's officers coming together to tie in the cases.
Early this morning, David Bailey, owner of Phase 4 in Ammon, found his store broken into. The robbers once again pried the door open and went straight for certain items. They had knowledge of where the safe was, pried it open and took the money. They then took items that were untraceable leaving owners thinking this had been planned.
David Bailey, Owner - Phase 4: "Nothing with serial numbers or anything like that. So, it could've been a lot worse but obviously they had a good idea of what they were...what they were after".
This break-in matches many of the previous burglaries so the Bonneville County sheriff's office is leaning toward the idea that these robberies are linked.
Doug Metcalf, Sgt. Bonneville County: "Breaking into the backdoors, breaking into safes stealing cash and equipment like that is the same kind of m.o.'s as the prior burglaries".
C and A Auto Repair, also in Ammon, was another business hit last night. When they opened their business this morning, they found their door was broken....the cash box gone...and a company laptop missing.
The Bonneville County sheriff's office met with Madison and Jefferson county sheriff's who have also has their share of business burglaries. They're looking at the similarities, who the suspects might be, and what ties all these businesses together.
One of the worst things about the break-in at Phase 4 is that the owner was actually in the middle of installing a new, state of the art security system.
