The airport has been jam packed all day.
Travelers are quickly discovering, there's really not much they can do, besides wait.

If you plan on going away this Christmas, be ready to pay a heavy price.
And I don't mean in just dollars, but more like your time.

Linda Wintczak, heading to Detroit: "We've been here since seven o'clock."
"We've just been trying to keep a good attitude because nothing we can do about it., not gonna get up faster if we get mad."

Robert McPhail, going to Wisconsin: "Happen quite often this time of year with the weather."

But as patient as people try to be, killing time does have it's limits.

Liselotte Jansen, Rexburg resident:"We just found out the planes been delayed and they didn't announce it at all, that's ridiculous they need to say the plane is gonna be late."

And of course there's all these rules, constantly changing, adding to the headache.

Mike Williams, Idaho Falls resident: "General public doesn't know about the changes as far as security and the TSA."

Camille Roskelley, heading to Las Vegas: "Only complaint about going through security is taking my shoes off because I think it's really gross."

Fred Greene, from Victor:"Getting ready for a flight you basically have to undress and get ready to be inspected."

Williams: "Had a small what they call a leather man tool tow inches long and taken it through security here couple times previously and last time came through they took it from me."

For years the most hated entity has been the IRS, but an AP poll taken earlier this week, found that the more people travel, the less they like the TSA

Greene: "People are gonna think that because they're an inconvenience, the IRS is an inconvenience too. They would be in the same sentence I guess."

But the TSA hasn't quite caught up yet.

Wintczak: "Oh the IRS for sure."

Williams: "Probably the IRS."

Traveler: "I think I'll stick with the IRS."

Now from this survey the CIA was rated, the lease favorite government agency by the public. The top favorite, surprisingly was the postal service.
