An update to a story we told you about two weeks ago when we went behind bars in the Madison County jail to speak with Bronson Chikusu and Andrew Sinyangwe.

They are former BYU-Idaho students from Africa who pleaded guilty to stealing tens of thousands of dollars of books from the campus bookstore.

They served their sentence and were being held as material witnesses in another case.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News has learned that INS has taken both Chikusu and Andrew Sinyangwe, along with Andrew's brother Humphrey, into custody and they are in the process of being deported back to Africa.

The men were being held as possible witnesses in the case of Zachariah Rodgers who was being charged with one count of grand theft.

Police say Chikusu and Sinyangwe sold the stolen books to Rodgers who would then sell them online.

Today, Rodgers entered a plea agreement with the state. He pleaded guilty to a reduced misdemeanor charge of petty theft.
