IDAHO FALLS - In a world of rising energy prices, mass consumption, and soaring demands on the earth's resources, one group says it's time for action.

"We need recycling here in Idaho Falls and we do. It's a need that's not being met, so we're just trying to raise awareness and meet it," said David Pace, leader of the group.

Wheelbarrow Corps is a non-profit organization, picking up your trash and recycling it. Their motto is, start small and go big.

"We started just because we wanted to make the world a better place. Especially here in Idaho Falls," said Pace.

This Pilot program has specifically selected the Jennie Lee neighborhood to help kick start recycling across Idaho Falls.

"There's not as much emphasis out on recycling out here, so I think it's very impressive that he's taken the initiative to go ahead and do something about it," said Nicole Okeson, a volunteer for the group.

If you live in the Jennie Lee neighborhood, all you have to do is save your recyclables throughout the week, set them on the curbside on Wednesday before 7pm and some friendly person will come and pick them up for you.

This program started only two weeks ago and has already collected 25-hundred pounds of recyclable materials. Volunteers meet every week at 7pm at Community Park off Holmes.

"We just really need to get volunteers, that's really the thing that's holding us back," said Pace.
