We've got several special editions of "Does it Really Work" this month.
We'll be testing out various fitness products that claim to shape your body in minimal time.
First up... The Shake Weight.
Infomercial: "Introducing the Shake Weight. The revolutionary new way to shape and tone arms you'll love in just six minutes a day. You can get arms you'll be proud to show off."
If you've never seen the infomercial, you've probably still heard of the Shake Weight. Ellen DeGeneres made the product an overnight sensation.
"Who orders that? Besides me," says Ellen.
When the girls on The View showed off the Shake Weight. A rare thing happened. They were speechless.
And after Ellen introduced the product, she gave away hundreds.
"I'm telling ya, I believe in it so much, I got one for all of you today," says Ellen.
But will a local bodybuilder believe in it just as much as Ellen?
"It contracts the muscle and keeps it contracted, but it doesn't allow it to open," says Kendall Cameron.
Even before opening the box Kendall Cameron already has his doubts.
"How does it feel," asks Tommy Noel.
"Like I"m trying to shake salt," replies Kendall.
Kendall tried the various exercises listed on the instructions.
"There's no tension on the muscle whatsoever. To do something with this for six minutes, I can't see any difference," says Kendall.
So the 14-year body building expert gives this product a thumbs down. But what do other gym goers have to say?
"No."
"No. It feels like I'm shaking a bottle of ketchup."
"What's it supposed to do?"
"Everyone's looking for that six-minute cure for their health problems, it doesn't exist. If you really want to make a difference in your health, it requires hard work and dedication." says Kendall.
Ellen was unavailable to give her Spud-o-Meter rating, but Kendall's is about as low as you can go.
"I wouldn't even give this a one, it's completely useless," says Kendall.
