Does it Really Work? - Heel Tastic
By Tommy Noel
The winter weather can do a number on your skin- dry, flaky skin that you'd probably just rather keep covered.
Infomercial: "Now there's the amazing Heel Tastic. The miracle solution to dry, cracked feet." "I wanted smooth heels," says Becky Stauffer. It doesn't matter the season, Becky Stauffer has cracked heels and skin year round. "It hurts if it gets caught on the carpet," says Becky. She's tried lotion in the past but nothing seems to work. The first thing we noticed was the scent. "Has a different smell," says Becky. They call it a mix of lemongrass and ginger. This product has the most simple directions we've ever seen. "Apply as needed," says Becky. So Becky went at it. Applying on just one foot for now, so we could get a good comparison. "It's looking clearer," says Becky. The treated foot definitely looks better. By the way, I gotta give kudos to Becky for testing this product on camera. Now for the other foot. And while the feet look different... "There's no tingling sensation. It doesn't feel any different," says Becky. One of the drawbacks Becky noticed... "It seems oily," says Becky. You'll either need to use gloves or try not to touch your feet while applying. But the good news is: "I can put my socks on without them just catching them on the skin," says Becky. Still though Becky wasn't impressed with the oily feel which is the reason for her Spud-o-Meter rating: "Probably 3 and a half," says Becky. You can purchase Heel Tastic at Walgreens for $10. |
