Does it Really Work? - Wiggle Racer

Our newsroom learned the value of sharing for this week's edition of "Does it Really Work."

We only have one of these Wiggle Racers and everyone wanted to try it out.

Let's find out what all the rage is...

At the fair, you'll find an abundance of products that could qualify for a "Does it Really Work" segment. But one item in particular caught our eye- The Wiggle Racer.

"These cars are really fun for little kids and big kids," says Jill Butler.

Jill Butler claims kids from 4 to 84 can take part in the fun.

"When you take them to a family party, everyone can ride them," says Jill.

I got a quick lesson..

"All it is, your arms doing the work. It's cintrifical force, so it moves you forward," says Jill.

And then I was ready to go.

"Oh this is fun! Alright I see you later," says Tommy Noel.

I was having way too much fun, but since I'm on the job, I decided to seek out other fair-goers to see if they wanted a turn.

Twelve-year-old Koltin was a quick learner and was off in no time.

"It's pretty fun," says Koltin.

But when it was time to find another tester.

"Can I take it for just one more ride," asks Koltin.

Our little cowboy, five-year-old Luke, used the Wiggle Racer and with these moves he'll be riding bulls in no time.

Six-year-old Will is getting the hang of it.

"It's fun. You wiggle and you go fast," says Will.

So the kids enjoy it but let's make this a little more interesting.

We found someone who claims to be 6'9" and I'll be honest, I had my doubts, but this nearly NBA star was already a pro with the Wiggle Racer.

Ethan's Mom already purchased some Wiggle Racer's for the fam.

"I own six of them," says Jody Christopherson.

Four for the kids. Two for the parents.

"We have races in our house, on our hardwood floors in our kitchen. So we go around the little island that we have," says Jody.

I then challenged my co-anchor Justine Beauvais to a race. And as you'll soon see, we're cheaters.

Well Justine won by a long shot, and I became the man of excuses.

"You cheated! ... It's all about the weight. You're just a little thing and I'm this big huge thing... It was the slope of the concrete," says Tommy.

Guess I'm just a sore loser. But the Wiggle Racer was a winner at the fair, as noted by the Spud-o-Meter ratings.

"I give it a five."

"I'd give it a five."

You can purchase the Wiggle Racer in vendor building #7. They cost $65 or $55 each if you buy two. And they can hold up to 220 pounds.
