By Tommy Noel

The holidays are wrapping up, the relatives are heading home, so now it's time to sit back and relax!

In this edition of Does it Really Work, Eyewitness News Reporter Tommy Noel tries out a product that promises to be spa therapy for your toes!

Pampered Toes Infomercial: "Everyday we cram our feet into tight uncomfortable shoes that cramp and irritate our toes. It's no wonder our feet have so much by the end of the day."

"It's one of those cursed things. You hate 'em, but you love 'em, because you know you look good in them," says Angie Smith.

Angie Smith loves her high healed shoes.

"It's all about the look of the shoe, the style of it. Comfort is not generally a bonus," says Angie.

Infomercial: "Introducing Pampered Toes. The new way to relieve hours of torture with just a few minutes of relaxation."

Angie heard about the product and was ready to be pampered.

"I received an e-mail with it, and I thought here's another one for Tommy to try out," says Angie.

After a quick read of the directions,

"...gently stretch the gel unit and insert the toes into the corresponding slots as shown," says Angie.

Angie slipped on the Pampered Toes... Eventually.

"They don't slide very well. It's not that easy to get your toes in there," says Angie.

The instructions recommend you wear pampered toes for 10 minutes. They may have been a little long for Angie.

"It started to get to a point where it hurt," says Angie.

Infomercial testimonial: "I cannot believe how great my feet felt after a few minutes of wearing Pampered Toes. I love them.

Angie Smith testimonial: "It was some what uncomfortable. They kinda hurt, more than they did before," says Angie.

Turning to the Spud-O-Meter.

"I would do a one-and-a-half, maybe a two. I would rather just soak my feet in some hot water," says Angie.

You can buy Pampered Toes at Walgreens for 10 bucks. A bucket of hot water: free.

This week Gov. Otter signed a bill requiring Idaho to sue the federal government if Congress passes health care reform. What's your response to this?

  • It's great to see Idaho taking the lead on this. Someone has to stand up to what's happening in Washington.
  • We can't afford to pay for education in Idaho, but we're going to spend tax dollars to sue the feds? Ridiculous.
  • Not sure.
