Eyewitness News Reporter Tommy Noel got a lot of requests for this week's product, PediPaws.

And a familiar face at Channel 3 got to try it out on his pets.

Infomercial: Pets all across America are putting up their paws. Because they want to get PediPaws!

Will PediPaws bow wow the four legged testers over?

Sports Director/Amateur Pet Groomer Ted Dawson is ready to find out.

"I actually saw this advertised on television and because we have so many dogs, I thought it would be a great thing," says Ted Dawson.

Ted has a Great Dane, Maximus.

"Little over a year old. Fills the house," says Ted.

And two Lhasa Apsos.

"Spend some time to properly introduce the device to your pet," says Ted.

With Max, we were off to a rough start.

"That's not so much fun. We'll get him used to it," says Ted.

Max did get accustomed to PediPaws and Ted was able to file down his nails.

Then we ran into another snag.

"The problem was its underpowered for a big dog. Once I started grinding the nails, it just virtually stopped," says Ted.

So let's try Ted two smaller dogs. First, Suzie.

"Oh sakes alive. We gotta get used to it," says Ted.

After constant praise and coaxing, Suzie never got used to it.

Angel was doggone vocal about her opinion of Pedi Paws.

(Angel growls repeatedly.)

"I don't think she likes it Tommy," says Ted.

I hope this doesn't put Ted in the dog house.

"As soon as I touched her toe nails, she wanted nothing to do with it," says Ted.

Angel looked a lot different than the dog in the infomercial.

"It looks like something you might wanna buy, because it looks like it would be so efficient, it just doesn't work properly," says Ted.

Time to rate PediPaws on the Spud-o-Meter. With the looks of it, this product may go to the dogs.

"I gotta go with a two," says Ted.

We may have to do a follow-up. Ted's going to take the product home and see if the dogs can get more used to it.

We bought PediPaws at Bed Bath and Beyond for $20.
